Dr. Xiuyang Guo grew up in the beautiful Sichuan Province of China, where he was inspired by his father, a beloved doctor known for his compassion and dedication to his patients. Watching his father build meaningful relationships through care and trust sparked Dr. Guo’s passion for helping others, leading him to pursue a career in healthcare.
After spending a decade in biomedical research, Dr. Guo realized he wanted a more direct connection with patients. This led him to return to school, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Now, with over eight years of experience as an optometrist, Dr. Guo combines his expertise with a genuine love for helping patients see and feel their best.
Dr. Guo believes that an eye exam is more than just improving vision—it’s an opportunity to care for a patient’s overall health. He takes the time to listen to each patient’s concerns and tailor solutions to their needs. Whether slowing myopia progression or fitting specialty contact lenses, Dr. Guo’s goal is always to provide clear vision and renewed confidence.
At home, Dr. Guo is a devoted husband and father. He lives in Woodbridge, CT, with his wife and their two children. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, reading, and spending quality time with his family.
